We feed our chickens locally sourced, non-gmo, corn-free, soy-free grain in addition to letting them forage on our 2 acres of untreated pasture. Raising our birds on pasture is not only beneficial for the health of our birds, but for us as well!
Pasture raised eggs have been found to have higher amounts of Vitamin A & E as well as higher amounts of Omega 3. They also have lower levels of saturated fat and cholesterol. The healthier and happier our birds are, the higher the quality of their eggs.
